Research 2015 - Researcher at the Centre For Fine Art Research at the University of Lisbon, department of anatomical and scientific illustration 2013 - Post-doctoral programmes in Drawing - between 2007 and 2013 developed two post-doctoral programmes in Drawing at FBAUL: "Morphological diversity and the imaginary: modelling and animation in the artistic representation of the human body", from September 2007 to July 2010; and “Drawing bio-inspired and robotic anatomy", from September 2010 to July 2013.
Education and Degrees - Ph. D in Drawing from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Seville, Spain. The thesis was entitled: “La interpretación plástica de la cabeza del hombre, su representación en el Dibujo y su aplicación en gráficos 3D”, (2006) and unanimously obtained the distinction “Cum Laude”. - Gifted studies diploma (DEA) in Drawing, Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Seville, Spain. 2002 - Degree in Sculpture, from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon.
Scholarships 2007/2013 - Post-doctoral fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology at the Centre for Research and Studies in Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. 2001/2005 - Doctoral fellow of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Seville.
Artistic experience and exhibitions - "Animalia e Natureza na Coleção do CAM ", Modern Art Centre of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, October 2014 to May 2015. - Monument to the Miner (Un) known, Mina de S. Domingos, Mértola, Portugal, 2004. - "Totalitarian Joy" Museum of Beja, Portugal, 1998. - “X Anniversary of April 25”, SNBA, Lisbon, 1984. - During the 1990s, he was artistic director and curator of several contemporary art projects, collaborated on books and art catalogues and participated in conferences. - With the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and municipality of Beja, Portugal he organised the 50-Year Retrospective of Portuguese Art, Beja Library ; SNBA , Lisbon,1992 . - Exhibits regularly in Navegantes Space, Art Research, at Rua dos Navegantes, 58 B, in Lisbon.
